Last month Tweed Cooking School hosted an engaging corporate event that brilliantly combined culinary skills with team-building activities. Held at The Salvation Army Australia’s venue in Banora Point, the event brought together 35 enthusiastic participants for a memorable morning of hands-on cooking and networking.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome, setting the stage for an interactive and enjoyable cooking class. Under the expert guidance of Tweed Cooking School’s talented team, including Chef Hermann, Sarah-Jane and Elli, participants were divided into groups and took to their cooking stations to prepare a delicious menu. The menu featured a range of fresh, healthy dishes: chicken or tofu skewers with quinoa, zucchini noodles with pesto, and a crunchy slaw of sprouts and leaves. For dessert, guests enjoyed a creamy coconut chia pudding topped with berries.
This hands-on experience allowed everyone to get involved, from marinating chicken and threading it onto skewers to making pesto and zucchini noodles. After the cooking session, guests transitioned to a delightful group dining experience. The self-serve setup, featuring biodegradable plates and cutlery, highlighted the importance of sustainability while providing a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying the results of their efforts.
The communal meal allowed participants to savour their creations and engage in meaningful conversations. Networking was a key part of the event, and the lively environment fostered connections among guests. The chance to discuss their cooking experiences and share professional insights added an extra layer of value to the event.
